Therapist

Kelsey Tovar, MS, LPC-A

Kelsey is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and a first-generation college student and Latina from an underserved area of San Antonio, Texas. Her own background has given her a deep understanding of the barriers many face in accessing mental health care, and she brings that awareness into her work with clients. She takes a solution-focused, strengths-based approach and is passionate about seeing clients for their unique strengths and abilities, not just their challenges.

Kelsey works with children, adults, couples, and families, with a special focus on supporting individuals on the autism spectrum. She has extensive experience working with children who are survivors of sexual abuse and violence, as well as clients navigating trauma, eating disorders, substance use, relationship concerns, and family conflict. Her approach is collaborative and flexible, drawing from solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, DBT, ACT, and other evidence-based practices, while always centering clients as the experts in their own lives.

Dedicated to fostering resilience, healing, and post-traumatic growth, Kelsey helps clients navigate challenges and transform hardship into strength. She is committed to creating a supportive and safe space where individuals and families feel heard, respected, and encouraged as they take meaningful steps toward personal growth and well-being.
