Licensed Master Social Worker

Alfred Perez, PhD, LMSW

Alfred is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a deep commitment to supporting children, adults, and families through life’s challenges. With professional experience across child welfare, health, and housing systems, as well as his own lived experience as a former foster youth, he brings both expertise and empathy to every therapeutic relationship. His approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and rooted in compassion, helping clients feel seen, valued, and supported.

Alfred’s clinical work includes individual, family, couple, and group therapy. He has extensive experience in psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, care coordination, and patient advocacy, and he integrates evidence-based strategies to guide clients toward resilience and healing. His focus areas include trauma, foster care and adoption-related challenges, family conflict, anxiety, and stress management.

Beyond his clinical practice, Alfred is also a researcher, educator, and advocate, contributing to national studies and teaching graduate students in social work and human services. This blend of scholarship, practice, and advocacy shapes his holistic perspective on care. With a compassionate and person-centered style, Alfred empowers clients to navigate challenges, build strengths, and move forward with confidence and hope.
